A dive into Talent Acquisition Technology

Recently, enormous changes have been taking place in the talent acquisition space and further advancements are likely to reshape the industry.

I’m proud to say I'm a Talent technology geek, I love the interaction of technology and people, being that what we do is such a people-oriented business. But most of all, how

emerging technology streamlines virtually all aspects of recruiting, including sourcing, Intelligent & autonomous Matching, Brand building, assessments, scheduling, and engaging with talent for future opportunities.

technology empowers & frees up experts in our profession

For many years, the act of recruiting has stayed largely the same, this old paradigm has been a tried-and-true method of connecting candidates with employers looking for talent- until now.

Revolutionising Talent Acquisition

Automation & Artificial Intelligence (AI)

  • Automation is something we are already seeing enter the talent acquisition space. Automated systems can aggregate candidate data, present a list of this data to a recruiter or hiring manager, or Intelligently match candidates based on an algorithm-driven platform that scores & matches candidates to open positions. Some systems can even conduct the first round of candidate interviews and screening for the employer.

  • Artificial Intelligence & Machine learning and other smart technologies are revolutionising talent acquisition by helping sourcers & recruiters work faster & smarter and are no longer something in the far-off future, in fact it's already driving many of the most innovative Talent acquisition technologies available right now. Jobs will be seeking candidates, rather than the other way around.

As time goes on, the recruitment process will become ever more “smart” as recruiters and hiring managers utilise AI, machine learning and data analytics to get a complete understanding of the candidates they engage with.

The Human Element

AI & automation is moving rapidly from experimentation to mainstream use in the recruiting world, however it doesn't mean the human recruiter will become obsolete - I believe this technology empowers & frees up experts in our profession to do what they do best - being strategic partners to the business, creating lasting relationships and creating a welcoming candidate experience.

The Challenge

The Talent Technology ecosystem is fragmented, with many small niche software solutions & only a handful of 'end-to-end' talent solutions. This introduces a business challenge. It would be wise to focus on the platforms that can take you from yes-to-desk & desk-to-success.

While the technology is available on our doorstep it’s important to choose the right solutions, that drives business success and is fit-for-purpose, in order to thrive in Industry 4.0.
