We have always been firm believers in only hiring the best here at DIGGER, so we are especially pleased to welcome this key hire, as we enter our hypergrowth period.
Joining as Lead Talent Strategist, Craig Murray brings over 10 years’ recruitment experience across a variety of sectors including health & Finance, and technology - 8 years of this were at leadership level, with 2 years at Director level.
He joined DIGGER having previously been responsible for a high-performing division of over Multiple consultants, delivering over R 5 million Perm GM per year, and over 40% of the business' overall GM – and has experience of setting up new business functions and scaling teams from scratch, plus extensive key account management experience.
Craig, is fully versed in the challenges of scaling a new business area – with experience of taking new divisions from infancy to being number one supplier, in short periods.
A true consultant, Craig has built an outstanding reputation for taking the time to understand a client’s issues, in order to provide the correct solution and deliver on agreed outcomes.
Craig has previously worked for a start-up recruitment firm, which ultimately scaled to over 10 heads, R 5 million revenue and R 2.3 million EBITDA. In short, he has been there and done that, and with this experience brings massive learnings to help both scale the ‘DIGGER Ship’ as well as understanding our client’s pain points through their own growth journeys.

Craig is very much focused on building relationships and partnering with Large Listed Conglomerates globally, to help them build elite Finance teams across their business units. Moving forward, he will be reviewing our Account Management proposition to ensure all clients are receiving a world-class service, consistently, and developing DIGGER’s Talent Partnership offering.
In such a relatively short period, he is already making a massive impact in the office, with the team keen to learn from his experience and are very much seen as mentors to those who are much earlier in their recruitment careers.
